The Mobile Chamber of Commerce President Bradley Byrne explained the connection between Mobile ‘s growing port and SALP, stating that the expanding container port creates demand for warehouse space.
Central Vice President for Veyer Logistics Ryan Patten expressed excitement about the new location, citing Mobile’s competitive pricing, proximity, and workforce. Simpson Strong-Tie Territory Sales Manager Cheryl Zafiris shared that the new warehouse allows for next-day delivery to local customers, a long-held dream. SALP’s strategic location near the Port of Mobile, interstates, airports, rail lines, and waterways makes it a prime logistics hub. Mobile County Commissioner Randall Dueitt anticipates job opportunities for local residents. Private sector partner Phillip Burton with Burton Property Group announced the upcoming construction of a new 185,000-square-foot facility within the park.
